Major investment in new technology will make our drums up to 20% lighter

Axjo has strived for several years to help customers become greener by developing compounds based on 100% recycled material. Now we are moving on to the next phase by investing in equipment that will reduce drum weight by up to 20%.
In some cases the weight saving could be as much as 50-60% compared with competing products made of wood. This innovative development not only offers a reduction in weight. It also allows us to increase material thicknesses, resulting in a drum that is even stronger and more robust. The new technology will be introduced at the beginning of 2016 and will be used in products from 600 mm upwards.
