From a devastating fire to a state-of-the-art facility

On April 24th, 2019, a devastating fire occurred at Axjo's production plant in Gislaved, Sweden. Thankfully, no people were harmed, but unfortunately, the production buildings were badly damaged by the fire. Thanks to fast decision-making, strong leadership, and the dedication of many colleagues and individuals, the process of rebuilding the factory began immediately, and a new state-of-the-art facility was established in the fall of 2020.

Today, five years later, we reflect on the memory and take pride in the fact that the Axjo group has recovered and become a reliable partner for innovative projects. Axjo now leads the world in producing products made from 100% recycled plastic and offering circular solutions for these products. Through our production facilities in Sweden and the USA, we supply our customers with reels, spools, drums, and small storage solutions worldwide.
